That’s pretty slick. There’s no lock nut or anything to loosen first either.
Thanks!

Hay mr back country expert you forgot to tell them to remove cotter pin on the chain case and after finger tight to back up till hole for cotter pin is visible .....and to make sure not to forget to reinstall cotter pin.. See more than a few chains piled up

looks like a few belts eaten.. Increase your secondary spring pressure

The chain tension can be adjusted without removing the safety pin as it is a 4 sided pin and the safety pin kinda holds at 90 degree intervals. This was discussed in depth last year and is referenced in the 2017 shop manual under periodic maintenance. If you want to fiddle with trying to line up the hole in the pin at 180 degrees carry on.

They have a pin how in it now, mine is not in there and wasn't from factory, so if it does not turn, the pin is installed, so dont just force it, remove the pin and tighten and install, either is fine. Happy Riding

Nope 1300 km on it all deep pow and haven't even cleaned it...to much pow and a 22 month old when I come home who wants to hike.

Nice! 18's looks better for sure! Looked like a dent in the footwell wall, i had to replace mine after a few belts blowing ;)

Did it last night just like Dave showed in the video. Took all of about 90 seconds.

The 17 and 18 are different ,the 17 you leave the hair pin in and the 18 the pin has to be removed .

It now has a pin hole, but you can choose what you want to do, all my sleds are all out of the pin hole and on the D section of the bolt, like in 17. You can do what you want, never had it back out, its not under a lot of load.
