Trying to help my buddy get his '01 summit 700 running smooth. It seems to be running fine at higher rpms, but you have to stay on the throttle a little at idle so it won't die. Additionally, when you brap it from idle it seems to back fire a bit. I took a look at the main jets and and they appear to be 280's. I'm thinking this is a pilot jet issue, probably running fat on the low end. Anyone have any ideas to try out, or have a jetting chart? Thanks for the help.

Mains are 480's and pilots are 20's. Replace pilots for your current stated problem to be fixed. Use stock air box as well!

Just dug in deeper, definitely looking as though they are 280 mains with 45 pilots. Didn't say it before running at 6000'-9000' ~20 (South Lake Tahoe).
