Right side of Washington
our letter to the editor to several Washington newspapers... hope you join us.

Dear Editor:

In rural Washington we seem to get out voted by our mostly liberal Seattle peers and most would agree the residents of Seattle generally do not share the values of rural Washington. If we vote based upon our rural Washington beliefs we could make a difference in this year’s critical national Presidential election.

When reviewing presidential candidates there is one candidate that is most like our rural Washington State values. This candidate will protect our right to access federal lands, has realistic plans to solve our energy and healthcare problems, truly believes in the second amendment, will keep us safe from terrorists, and will not raise our taxes. Finally he will properly end the war in Iraq and offer the needed balance with the Democrat controlled Congress.

We hope you will join us in changing Washington State from a “blue state” to a state that reflects rural values and support Senator John McCain.

Sincerely

Mike & Janet Cloke, RN

Being a western WA resident but originally from Eastern WA, I would have to say........Hell Ya! Thanks to Hollywood and the liberal media a lot of people who have no idea about the 2 candidates accept what they read in the newspapers. Did you read what Biden said here in the rally in Washington (basically he said....We expect/guarantee a terrorist attack within several months when Obama gets elected but don't blame us). What's that telling you, it tells me that the terrorists know Obama and the democrats are pu$$!es. Has everybody forgotten that we have a Democratic Congress and that Bush is not the Czar, it's called checks and balances. Bush can't do much without the backing of Congress and visa versa. So there are plenty of Democrats to blame for the issues we are having in this country. Don't foget to blame the banks that have been doing shady lending practices for the housing issues. All they talk about is Bush's low approval rating but did you know congress has half his approval rating and it's apparently the lowest ever for congress. One more piece of info, our military is in favor of McCain on a ratio of 3-1. So I guess it's obvious who I am voting for.

it's hard for me being from eastern WA not to lump all the coasties into the bunny hugged group, but I have met alot of great people from the westside that are basically eastsiders trapped by the mountains. Too bad we can't just take all the greenies put them on there on lil spot and they get there votes and we get ours!

Nice letter, I am from the westside and I agree completely with your letter. You know what they say if you are a young Republican you are heartless and if you are an adult Democrat you are an idiot. I guess I am heartless and smart :face-icon-small-coo

It is really sad actually they people are such sheep and they actually think the media tells them the truth.

I'm on the fence on this one... just can't seem to decide. I just wish I could figure out what I believe in, and then, you know, make a decision. Hmmmm, what feels good today???

I live in Olympia and I agree with ya. I am not originally from E. Wa. but I would agree with most conservative views. Tough road ahead for the like minded but worth a fight.

I'm with you. I grew up in NE Oregon but now live in Obamaville (Portland). Went up to the Sno-show and counted campaign stickers on cars. It was 7 to 9 in favor of Obama. I had just put a McCain/Palin sticker on my gay tree-hugging Subaru, what can I say...it goes good in snow and brings out my feminine side. What I thought was odd was the number of people that saw the sticker and gave us a big thumbs up and waved. That's cool and all, but why the heck didn't they have their own sticker on. C'mon everyone, get with it and show your support.

I too am voting for McCain but it doesnt matter, our votes count for nothing. Our electoral votes always go to the dems and always will so you vote is meaningless.

On the other hand, the vote for Gov is crucial and if your voting for that snatch Chris, you need help!

GO DINO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think conservatives are, in general, more intelligent than the liberal left and being more intelligent we don't want to "Trailer Trash" up our rigs with ANY bumper stickers!:D
I'll show my support at the polls.

Just say NO to the Obamessiah

I am all for McCain and Palin. But we all need to look at the big picture. Bottom line if they do make it to the house they still have to fight with a full blown Demicratic party. That means that all bills will be turned down and pushed back. Our biggest worry should be that the goverment is getting to much control and we are the ones that have let it get this way! We need to quite bickering and stand as a whole. But we all know that will never happen with all the green running this country.

oregon city or
i also live here in portland and we have the same problem here 4 counties decide the fate of the reast of the state i think they should make it like an electorial college every county gets 1 vote then lets see who this state elects as our next president.......here in oregon not only do you have the greenies but you have a large number of state workers and we all know they aren't going to vote for less government or want to cut state spending that would mean they would have to pay into there own health care and retirement......just my .02 cents
