0 belts = 450miles

1000'-1200' - 150 miles stock ramps - 25.5 grams on bolt weight, running 48 degrees on helix, clicker 3

6000' - 10,000' (Alpine) over the hood snow. 300 miles. 17.5 grams on bolt weight, running about 42 degrees on helix, clicker 3

Running 7900 to 8000 rpms - targeting 7900

Shockwave secondary adjustable helix, removed all insulation and vented hood.

Keeping belt adjusted high on the secondary, keeping belt snug.

(850X 165 2.5 track)

Belt still looks good!

Mainly deep powder days, 1st belt went at 370mi. Elevations 8000 - 11000. Clutches are always hot when checked, now that I'm on the 2nd belt I tend let it cool some between long/extended pulls. Sidehilling, tree riding etc...

10 belts total. 8 skidoo belts and 2 gates c12 belts. None of them have exploded as I always catch them as soon as the cords start to pull or they delaminate. Typical elevation 4-7k feet. 2,000mi and then the motor blew. Every day has been 3-4ft of pow.

3 belts 600 miles 8-10,000 ft.... very satisfied with this new platform and this sled takes the least amount of rider input of any sled i have ever been on!!!!! That being said please just fix the belt issue!!!!!!!

850 X 165 goodwin pins 350 mi. all deep original belt

850 X 165 18 gram pins clicker 2 600 mi. a lot of deep original belt.

Clutch faces get so hot you can't touch them. Also have a turbo polaris and the clutches are way cooler, not even close. Still love the Gen 4.

Pulled one cord on the first belt at 315 km on clicker 3. Snow too deep to read rpm.
Pulled a cord when the sled had 577 km on clicker 2 @8000 rpm. Still deep snow.
All riding has been between 3500-6500 ft.

Before I ever rode it all foam and felt was removed (besides the engine shroud and the reflected foam on can side)

Took my sled and belts to my dealer. They cut a few holes in the clutch cover and gave me two new belts.

Don't know how may km now. Maybe around 700-750?

This is another one of those threads where it gets very hard to interpret the data Becuase riding style and snow conditions play such a critical role. I bet I could take one of these sleds that hasn't blown a belt yet and shred one within an hour at baker in deep pow. People's perception of deep snow and being a hard core rider vary widely lol

totally agree. plus some guys never do inspections let alone any maintenance. blew first belt @180 miles. still on second with Goodwin kit @24 grams clicker 2. belt is in good shape now @355 miles. pretty sure mesh hood helps keep my temps down

Blew 1 belt to pieces at 460 miles. Clutches cleaned every ride, all non sense under hood removed, belt cleaned/broken in, and I tend to let this sled rest longer between sessions doo to all of the internet panic. Clutches are always too hot.

I ride 6 to 10,000 plus. Most time has been spent above 8000ft.

Otherwise the most amazing sled ever!

4 belts 1100 miles. Lost motor at 250 miles. ride from 6500 to 10000 ft. Been in a lot of snow all year. Motor went due to main rod bearing failure. Belts went at 290, 370, 600 and 820 miles. It has been better since placing black spring in secondary and taking the motor cover off? Can't believe the motor cover makes a difference but it definitely seems to have helped with air motion.

Interesting the number of blown motors. Also how many have no belt problems and others severe problem. I might wait one my year till I decide to buy another axys or switch to skidoo or cat. Awesome that I want to own all 3 brands for the first time since..... forever!
