This is another major new feature on the trailer this year!
For years we have been battling snow in the joint. Close the door without sweeping the snow out and you have INSTANT SOLID COMPRESSED ICE. Mirage has tried several different solutions over the years, but none of them has worked great. This one "Might" be the silver bullet. Now we just need to spend some time running the sleds over it and see how it holds up.

TurboLover and his son CJ came along for the first run with the new trailer today.
Now to get a new logbook and start writing down all the field notes!!

How hard does the skies grab the flooring in the trailer. If you ever get a chance I would like to know the real loaded weight of the trailer. I have a feeling it's overloaded.

Not even sure HOW that could be possible.

The trailer has a nominal weight of something like 4,500lbs dry, and a capacity of 11,000lbs

I don’t know how it would be even possible to put 6,000lbs in that trailer for snowmobiling

Agreed, no way that trailer is overloaded. There should be a tag that states the gvw, axles, total capacity, and other info on the trailer. Without looking, I dont remember where. Front left side I think.... maybe

Ha ha please run over a scale with everything full and your gear ready to go on a trip. Most manufacturers don't take into account of all extras. Just bare bone trailer on tag weight. It's not as big of a deal if your not traveling across country having extended runs at 80 mph.

Remember that the GVWR of a trailer is with a certain percentage of that weight on the tow vehicle.

Length is a killer for me 7 x29 triton roof isulation only small kit plate inside. But it pulls great in high winds compared to deck over. In the nineties i took a sledbed alum trailer and converted it to a sled deck. Thought i would save a bunch in fuel didnt happen. The weight on logan is high. But ive never weighed a trailswest either. I think the gooseneck would turn sharper than a bumper.

The 7' wide is such a nice trailer to pull cross country. Have to agree with you on that.

But what gets me from even looking at most of the goosnecks and such is the steel frame.......I can't imagine owning a steel sled trailer ever again.

How do you find that length of trailer with a short wheelbase truck? I could see things getting pretty exciting in a cross wind.



Having moved from a similar truck (except 7.3) to a CCSB and then CCLB, I can say with certainty I would never go back to the SWB for towing.

I will be happy to.
Just need to find a scale that I can do a weigh in on here in Idaho Falls.
