2002 rmk stalls at 8000 rpm

my 2002 rmk vertical edge 700 with a mrbp can an from what i know the rest of the sled is stock i was out riding an i hit 8000 rpm an the sled shut off started it back up first pull then ran to about 4500 5000 rpm then stall kept doing that now i went to firing it up after sitting over night an took forever to start along with farting an boging an poping now any idea would be great kinda new to this thanks

Do a compression test and let us know the results.

Automatic engine shutoff is a symptom for when you have a bad crank bearing and you are just about to be throwing shrapnel around the inside of your engine. Also, a symptom for when you squeaked the engine by melting a piston around the rings. If you have more than 3000 miles on the engine and it seemed to not be as responsive as normal, would also tend to corroborate either diagnosis.
