next will be stock out of break in

I see your doing sweeps in break in mode Joey. It’s down about 3-5 hp in fuel break in just like the 800 ho at dtr . 800 ho at dtr started at around 147 and topped out at around 150 until fuel break was done.

No digital wrench??

Going to get that pipe up to temp on runs?
Thanks for posting this and keep going ??

Pipe temp is down from the extra fuel from break in I will be adding runs out of break in today. I took it the whole way through break in on the dyno to make sure it was actually broke in right. for the first 5 gallons of fuel I did not exceed 20% throttle and for the second 5 gallons I did not exceed 40% throttle then towards the end of added fuel break in I did some 100% throttle sweeps then finished out the break in.

That's awesome if if that's what they are. That's going to be hard to beat but I had to see if the alpha skid and track is the greatest thing since milk.

its ok but in the old days a pipe would give a cat 1000 190 hp 133 torque.

i light weighted my 09 1000....porting etc gave it 189.4 hp, 136 torque @ 7450 rpm....on the scale it was six pounds heavier than a polaris pro, but i had a 162 track vs 154 on the poo....uphill drag race with anything, including turbos up to 10 lbs boost, the 1000 was faster and climbed higher....hairdryers needed race gas and 12+ lbs to beat it...but i've been doing this for a long time, not many 1000's were in this class, none that i ever raced...yeah, the front end was still heavy even with the total weight being low, but the sled rocked, and i'm sorry i sold it...but life goes on...looking forward to new alpha..:face-icon-small-coo

Haha I mean, that's cool and everything, but this is relevant to this thread how again? I'm sure there are many people who would love to talk about your all time great ditch pickle 1000 in the cat thread.

I bet you will appreciate fuel injection, oil injection, pump fuel, warranty, and just pull and go.

You're not comparing apples to apples. You might be able to give your new Alpha a diet and some tuning that will make it a competitor to your old iron. Sure you won't get those power/torque numbers but will you need too?

Don't count your chickens before they are hatched..

No one who pre-ordered a 2017 summit 850 knew they had a wobbley clutch until mid season. Or that they would need to take out a loan just to pay for the oil consumption that was supposed to be better than the 800 etec.

This Polaris 840 could be a huge hit, but we should sit back and watch it all play out rather than make claims we know nothing about as of yet.

I have to admit.. Being 24 pounds lighter, possibly using the same proven clutching as in the past and the other durability upgrades they claimed to have fixed sounds super promising though. :face-icon-small-hap

read and saw all the shiny this is what we made photos from the dragon to the pro to the axys, but real world reliability for engines/electrical problems from polaris continued thru all those productions....real world problems will likely manifest themselves again...be very happy if poo has made a no shi-ut wow sled, but their history is against it....and i had a polaris rmk every year from the 700 to the axys, but my cats and doos were always more reliable...just my experience, yours may differ...:face-icon-small-dis
