Extending the mud flap 6'' fixes all cooling issues. you can use a rubber floor mat or a piece of another mud flap. cuts easy with a razor knife and use a small stainless bolt / washer and locking nut. It doesn't look as gehtto as you think.

What is the reason some guys are cutting their rails? Looking at doing a 156x3 X3 with 7 tooth avid drivers. Thanks

There cutiing there rails because there running drivers that run through the track windows. The drive cogs will hit the rail tips.

After punching a t-post thru my 2.4 on my 11 800 PRO 163, and ride it til season was over, I could not find a 2.6 take off, so bought a CAMSO 2.5 extreme and IMO it is as good as the 2.6 on my sons 18 AXYS because it has stiffer paddles but does not trench either. It is full clipped and is a little heavier. I did not change driver or gearing. I'm now in the second season on that track and all is good!!

I know this thread is about the polaris 2.6" track but I installed a cat PC 2.6" track on a 15 pro 163" with 8 tooth 3" drivers, anti stab and cut stock rails. It works awesome, had 4 pros out there this weekend and everyone was impressed. It cost me about $1000 canadian for a brand new take off PC 2.6" and drivers and I'll be selling my stock Track and hopfully drivers to help offset the cost. Real nice upgrade

So the PC requires 3" and anti stab? Where did you scource the drivers and kit from?

Yes, I used avid 7t "powerclaw" drivers and ice age antistab for my 3"PC on my 11 pro. Chrisco at parkland motor sports has stuff in stock last time I checked.

Not sure where he got the 8t 3" drivers from.

I just picked up a used 2.6 155 for my 2012 assault with sibler turbo. I plan to throw it in with the stock 8 tooth drivers and was thinking about cutting .200 off the outside lugs like TRS does on the 2.5 CE track. Has anyone tried this on a Pro chassis or should I leave it alone?

Thanks

I'm leaning toward the 2.6 my sled is a 163, like that if fits stock drivers and is lighter than the 2.4 for the snow I get to ride in and conditions don't believe I need a 3in and don't want to swap tracks to a heavier one. my stock track does great for me just be nice to have a bit better traction

Anyone out there had any time on a pro with the new 2.6 polaris track? How does it compare to stock? Anyone ridden one with an x3 to compare to the 2.6? Just kinda trying to decide what track to go with in the future. Also anyone know how much lighter the 2.6 is conpared to the stock 2.4 track?

I have run a 2.4 and a X3 on my 13 pro rmk 163 and i also run a 2.6 on my sks axys. The 2.6 is awesome, just like 2.4 but better. Now the bad, i hate the x3 on my 13 pro. It takes all the fun out of the sled unless your in fresh foot plus of powder. I know a lot may disagree with me but i have 2 seasons on the x3 and 2 seasons on the 2.6 sks. We plan trips out west well in advance and in the last 3 years we have not run into over a fresh foot of powder, it just does not happen all that often. You are more than likely to run snow that has been set up unless your a snow chaser. I am looking for a 2.6 for my pro, i think it is the perfect track for balance of fun, traction and control. I know quit a few real world people have had a 3 inch and feel the same as i do. Make sure you fully clip the 2.6 if you get one as i have one in the trash after 2200 miles. Get the guide clips and put them to the outside to help lateral movement.
