I have 05 800 summit and have notice after an extended period of time (mainly summer storage) when you first start it it smokes excessively for the 5 to 10 miles. The sled runs great and the plugs look normal and oil consumption is normal. Can center seals case this?? Any ideas ?? Thanks

crank seals can do it but usually during storage seems like the oil pumps like to gravity feed extra oil during storage, every skidoo seems to doo it, not sure about the newer sleds with the oil injection if they do it or not probly not since they have a fogging process

exess smoke

during storage if you fog the engine or not fuel evaporates away with warm temps and crappy now day fuels, leaving a residue of oil in the bottom of the crank case . upon starting the new season the extra oil is then remixed with new fuel and has to clean or wash the old left over oil from the bottom of the crank case to clear it out making the first few minutes of running extra smoky while the crank case is cleaned up and excess oil burned off.

Oil line check valves on lower crankcase half fail open. Replace valves before engine hydro locks and blows up! We had one fail that way - no good!
