What belt have you been running? Looks like it is ripping! Is that the 260 or the 290 kit? My 250 rips so hard I can't imagine what another 40 hp feels like.

It is Super Chute with 260 HP programing. I need to get some good Go Pro video as the cell phone does not really cut it. The sled is close to you for a second and then it is far away quickly. The sled has a 0627-082 belt on it.

I like it! I have the BC250 and it looks like nearly the same kinda power from the video. . Just plain good fun!

Clutching and Heat Defense

Sled is running strong but need to get the under hood temps down. Installed Arctic Cat vented panels (I kow they are not the strongest) and hope to have full EVO Ti Series heat defense blankets on for next weekend.

Have you rode it with the vents yet? I have been reluctant to do vents on my sled cause I like the clean look without them. But now I need to get the heat out the best as possible.

I have not ridden it with them yet. I want to get the blankets on it first. I have several customers who have them and they make a big difference. I think they let more heat out than anything other than a mesh hood but not as durable as other vent kits out there. I too was trying to keep the graphics on the sled but this has to be done. And it looks better than I thought it would.

I have been running my 2013 T1100 from day one with the cat vented panels- and I can tell you with EVO's blankets it is night and day on clutch temps'
I am around 190* most of the time.
The straight pipe I am running ( still waiting on Jim's up Pipe) makes the right panel ( mag) a bit hot and have to add some heat tape- or wrap the straight pipe.. IMO... these panels that cat offersgreatly reduces clutching temps-
- I have 300+ on my 082 and no issues so far.( but I carry 3 spare)
I have ZERO shims in to make the offset set not creep while spinning in the secondary. but end up adding as the belt streches to keep tolerances in check I think the Cat vents are the way to go! Or have a prolonge affect///

IMHO

Great post SC.
I wonder which are better for the clutch/belt temps, the AC panels or the blankets?
I am going to get both but it appears that panels might be higher prioritized in order of install?
Budgeting the next $500....

Heat Defense....Installed

After the first couple rides I knew the factory tin vents were not going to work with the heat coming from the turbo and massive 3.0" EVO SC exhaust system. I received the Ti Series Heat Defense blankets on Friday, and since we have not had any fresh snow for a couple weeks, I figured today was the day. I have yet to have a root canal or colonoscopy but I am thinking they can't be much worse than putting these on. Just kidding probably not too bad after you have done a few but not the funnest thing I have done lately. It's a good thing I love riding this thing cause working on it does not do much for me.
