I am hoping to go look at a 900 EFI this coming weekend. I don't know alot about these machines, so I was hoping some of you could post some good clear under hood pictures, as well as pictures from different angles of you sleds. I need them to compare to what I am looking at so I can get an idea of what may be missing, upgraded, removed, etc. From what I understand this is a completely stock unit, original exhaust, etc.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Here is a picture I recieved of it. It has been sitting outside, so it is alot dirtier than I normally like. But I am sure that with a little time, I can get it up to my standards.

It looks mostly stock but make sure the mileage matches the condition, pretty easy to disable the speedo and hook it up again. The 900 is a great motor and in stock condition it's a great machine.

From what he tells me, it is bone stock. Also, considering it has the factory style windshield with the decals on the sides of it, I would assume it probobly hasn't been rolled. The rear flap is missing though. Also below the handle bars, just to the left, there is a round hole. Not sure what was supposed to go in there, or if there was just a plastic plug? I believe that is the location of the choke on a carbureted model?

Here's an 04 AC 900 carbed sled that I had from new until I sold it... not sure how many miles were on it... you had a choice of speedo or no speedo and I didn't have it installed. Rode it for 4 years with an ATACC from day one and figured 6000-7000 miles... these are the pictures I posted when I sold it. Great sled... never lost the crank or a piston, replaced both pistons, added a pipe and can, did a port job and had the crank welded and balanced just before the third year... one of the best sleds I've owned.

got an 04 900 efi 151....love it.

put a 16" wide track on it
sled junky's drop brackets
reeds
pipe
big wheel kit

and you're cooking with gas.

in the day, that sled was arguably best out there.

That red 900 looks a lot like mine ;) mine is EFI and has the hole for the choke, dunno if there was a plug or not.

about the hole for the choke lever, on the efi models, there was no hole. It was probably broken at some point, and replaced with what was around...

Dave186... that sled looks just like the 900 EFI my wife rode for 2-3 years but it didn't have the seat and it had SJ drop brackets. Looks good.
