From WI, but really anywhere close to I90 or I94 from WI to Missoula could work.

You won't find them as cheap now as they were last spring because the rebates from Polaris are currently lower. Just looked into it hard for a buddy. I was buying them for considerably less than I can get them now last Feb. Dealer told me to wait, Polaris will come out with better rebates when it gets closer to the season. Some dealers are also willing to take a loss on them, so that factors in.

I'd been looking for a week or so before I snaged the 800 Pro 163 in Reno Saturday for $8800. The next closest was $10083 which the guy said was his cost. So either the guy in Reno took a huge loss or the other guy was lying abou the dealer cost. The guy in Reno that I bought from said he lost over $500 on the sled so the math isn't adding up. $10083 - $8800 = $1283. So I'm thinking real dealer cost is about $9300 to $9400. Rebates may be bigger later but I doubt anyone will beat $8800 for a Pro 800 163. The reason the guys were selleing low now according to them is that the 2014's are coming in over the next week or two and they need the space and are willing to take a loss.

Which dealer in Reno?

Reno cycles and gear is the name of the dealer and the guy I delt with was Bill (the owner). It was a pretty nice experience. The sled was ready when I got there and he had me out the door in about 1/2 hour or so. Gave me a discount on some accessories too.

I just got an email from Polaris for a $1200.00 off last years (2013) sled and 2.99% finance.
Local dealers out here want the old ones gone. I talked to a couple of dealers and some had a lot of left overs. Also snow check is way down around here compare to years past, low snow and economy are hurting.

I beleive that the $1200 is for certain sleds. I looked into it and it didn't apply to the pros (800 or 600) here in California.

Actually the Factory Clearance add has been going on for a while now but is a little (or a lot depnding on how you look at it) deceiving. It says up to $1200 in savings but to actually save $1200 you'd have to buy 3 sleds and save $600, $400 and $200 respectively to add up to $1200. To be claer there is no one sled you can buy to save $1200. :face-icon-small-con

That mailer was nothing new, as was said. I asked as soon as I got it. It was deceptive, but it was the same rebates that have been going on for a while, the new ones are not out yet.
There may be different pricing for different dealers, based on volume, but I have seen costs, and the above posts are correct, dealers are taking losses to move product. It is just part of doing business, there is always some loss in any business, and they are probably able to write it off at tax time to help with the loss.
