? Cleaning power valves

So a buddy of mine just sent me this pic and asked if I had seen anything like this before ?? This power valve was removed from his 2015 Pro RMK 600 with about 1200 miles.

It looks like aluminum deposit but it does not clean or scrape off ? It’s smooth to the touch and in the inside of the valve assembly looks fine ???

Pistons were checked and they look fine, that's why I was a little confused as well. Everything looks good and the sled runs fine.

Interesting, if the pistons look to be 100% then clean it off and roll! Sucks to have to pull the jug by finding that, but better safe then sorry.
