How high can I go with out extending the brakeline and throttle cable?

Did you reroute anything or just put it on?

that was a couple years ago. I think I had to reroute some of the electrical which wasn't a big deal. but I do remember having to streighten the steal break line a bit in order to get it to reach.

The best thing I did with my boys was put a set of complete 05 M7 bars on.

Add a 4" piece of automotive steel line at the caliper and route your throttle cable over the top of the air box and you can pull close to an inch more than with them running through the channel of the airbox. Pick the bars up and start stacking pieces of 2x4 and 1x4 under the bars until you can't get any more in. Then you will know for sure how much you can get.
