Broken Seat Latch, Solutions? 08 XP

Anyone have a solution for the broken seat latch? My tang(latch) is broken off, as it's part of the tank I'm kind of stuck for a solution? I tried making my own out of plastic and riveting it to what was left, but it didn't last long.

Maybe try some marine type velcro

buy a boss seat they don't use the tang.

I tried velcro yesterday, it won't adhere to the plastic tank. Tried using silicone to get it to stick to the plastic, no go. So I drilled a couple holes on the white tang(seat), a couple holes in the black console down out of sight and used a couple wire ties. Very solid now. It's not like I need to remove the seat very often, If I do it's just a few seconds with nippers and the seat is off.

I bought the sled used, so I don't know how he busted it off???
