I hope you are asking this because av gas is easier for you to find than race gas, because if you buy a $35,000 sled and can't afford race gas then something is very wrong. I for one wouldn't take any chances and would run pure, 100% race gas if I could even think of affording a sled like this. Besides then I could crank the boost up higher.

On really low boost you could get away with it, I just don't recommend it.
Race gas is a must and really good race gas when you crank it up, its cheap insurance!

ttt...it also has a solenoid actuated wastegate controlled by the ProLogger, just dial in what boost you want and it does all the work for you!

Questions

Doc, very nice ride! I have a few questions:
-What boost levels is this sled set up for? And what HP would it be generating?
-What is the top boost levels this machine can handle, what would the HP be, and how much clutching would need to be done for this?
-What fuel is being ran in this machine?

It is set up for 24+ pounds of boost, it has Carrillo Rods and JE Turbo pistons.
Larger injectors should be good to over 350HP with the RIGHT fuel!
I have always ran Sunoco and I know alot of people run VP16 for really high boost. The clutching is easy with the Shockwave helix. If you crank up the boost, you just dial in more helix at the same time, works really slick.
Or you can fine tune the clutch with the PowerQuest adjustable weights as well.
I haven't turned the boost up on this sled yet as it hasn't been broken in yet, but it is identical to Paul Horschel's sled that won the Big Dawg shoot out in Whistler this year.
