Please post your M1000 clutching setups so we can get a list of what is working:

Year:
Mods:
Rider weight:
Track:
Altitude:
Weights:
3 post or 4 post:
Primary spring:
Helix:
Secondary spring:
Belt:
General thoughts about the performance:

Mine (updated for 09 season):
Year: 07 with Mar 08 reflash.
Mods: D&D Y, Timbersled intake
Weight: 240lbs with gear
Track: 153 Power Claw
AktitudeL 8500+
Weights: 77 gr light tips
Clutch: 3 post
Primary Spring: Cat Yellow white
Helix: 38 with adjustable tension. Pretty loose.
Sec Spring: Orange with shift assist
Belt: 060
M8 gears

Runs 7300 and pulls hard. Great belt life and minimal heat. Upshifts well. Sled does sputter occasionally after WOT and then idling. I think it is the latest reflash with my mods.

Mods: RKT head, SW y pipe, jaws can, extra holes in the airbox.
Rider weight: 240lbs
Track: 153
Altitude: 7-10K
Weights: 4-65's
Primary spring: yellow-white (stock)
Helix: 42/36 Cutler Conversion
Secondary spring: Cutler Red/White torsionial ( middle hole )

General thoughts about the performance: One ride in 2ft of powder no base.
The back-shift is a ton better than stock. Still over-reving ( I got 7560 once ), need better snow to judge, but first impression is much better than stock.

Mods: RKT head / SW Y/ SW Pipe / HPS Can /Box modification / Big air intake
Weight :245
Track : 162 ported w/ Mountain Tamer Suspension
Alt: 8K-10K
Weights 2-65's / 2-68
Primary Sp / Black
Helix : CPC conversion 44/36 red -white

Spot on RPM @ 7400 to 7450
Still dialing in the CPC back shift is more responsive than the stock.
Runs strong & clean- dialing in BD box with TPS and ExValve settings / and taking advanage of the capture mode option in the advance settings

07 M1000 162"
D&D Y-pipe, D&D Ceramic coated Single, D&D can, Boondockers box
162" Maverick with a little porting
8,000-11,500 feet
62 gram cat weights D&D Orange, 170-305
40/36 cat helix, D&D Maroon secondary spring

Fast Lane "No Snow" running boards, Fast lane side panels, Timbersled intake, and a ton of flow rights

I tried a couple of different set ups last year and had best results with this. I tried the Pure Logic box and liked it but I liked the options the BoonDocker gave me better. I have a set of D&D pipes to try a little later.

2008 M1000 162" sno pro set up

Y pipe & jaws can
Running Dalton Adjustable primary weights and 84.8g at 7000ft
pulling 7200 - 7300 RPM's
EVERYTHING stock...springs helix etc....
clutches are warm to the touch after many pulls.
set up runs perfect! I wouldnt spend another dime on it
backshift....seems good to me!
compared it to the exact 2008 sled with lighter primary weights and steeper helix, couldnt tell the difference at all, his primary weight was to light, spanked his ***..

maybe harder rollers...in the future.
200miles so far this year and LOVE it

Wouldnt tach high enough(7400) Built heat....Trying 65g MTX weights with no rivets and a yellow white(stock) spring in the primary???we will see

I have some MTX's on the way for my M8 tell my how you like them. your suppose to run 4 gram heavier the stock, I immagine because of the heavy heel.

Weights: 69 FT
Primary spring: orange/white
Helix: 44/40 w/ Black Diamond Rock Rollers
Secondary spring: Orange w/ shift assist

This sled is nimble, light, & pulls hard. I love the suspension, makes it handle & perform totally different than the 07' stock.

07 with stock ECU
Mods, Holz rear skid with floats, 162x2.5 camo, boss seat, changed gears,
bikeman head, VF reeds, SLP intake and pipe,BD Box,floats up front with
simmoms skis,light weight rotor.
Rider, 240 lbs
ride 8000-11000
Primary, cat weights with O/W titanium spring
secondary, rock rollers and DD shift assist helix and spring stock.

Deep snow pulls 7700, Hard pack pulls a quick 7500 and climbs to
7680-7700. took a little time to get the BD box right, throttle response
is awsome and pulls hard from bottom to top.

Rider weight: 230
Track: 162 stock
Altitude: 5000-7000
Weights: 4 x 70 Arctic cat
Primary: spring stock
Helix AC 44/40
Secondary spring: Starting line red 190-310 (I think)
General thoughts about the performance:

Runs 7150 to 7350 rpm, moves around a bit, not back shifting as good as I'd like to see, clutches run warm NOT hot. I think I might be a bit rich in fuel plugs are always black and runs better once it cleans out on long pulls. Once it cleans out it holds rpm better at about 7250 to 7300.

2007 m1000 sno pro

2.5 162 camo, speedwerx y pipe and can, cold air intake, 3 post primary, 83 grams stock titanium spring,46/36 full progresive stock spring with team spring conversion black silver and shift assist. M8 gears.XS belt. Still toying with secondary spring rates. 2005 helix cover.4000-8000

So Boosted 1, You win so far(08 1km) and with a stock pipe, have you had the sled above 9000' and if so does it hold Rs. Can not tell where anyone lives/rides w/out profile location. Thats strong weight and if it works with alty I can justify
spending the $10,400 now plus only what? $500 or less for enhanced tune!
p.s. How much do you weigh?
Keep us posted, and THANKS!
