My sons '02 RMK 500 starts around the 5 or 6 pull when cold. After it has been started if you run it lightly or shut it off right after starting it, it will start 1st or 2nd pull. During a ride though if he shuts it down it will not start unless you hold down the throttle. I have tried to half choke and full choke it to see if that would help but it does not. He is only 11 so it is tough for him to pull the rope and get back to the throttle in time and he is just not strong enough to pull it with one hand while holding the throttle with the other.
This sled has always been like this since we have owned it.
We have had it in for a preseason tuneup every year we have owned it but new plugs have not helped. Any ideas? Thanks!
