You'll have to post some pics of the install. Does it come with a new oil tank or are you going to do a oil delete?

I was just at Tom's shop yesterday discussing my new project. Tom's a great guy and sells top of the line parts and stands behind his belt drives. I sure like the Cat set up, well thought out and looks great. :face-icon-small-ton

Hey guys thought I would try to answer some questions.

Gear ratios that we are currently making for the belt drive are 2.25, 2.33, 2.42 and 2.52.

We do offer a non oil injection kit.

Total weight savings from stock stock case, oil tank, chain and gears weigh 11 lbs, also include the oil.

Total for full belt drive is 5 lbs.

2 gears and a chain weigh 5lbs 4 oz
2 TKI gears and belt weigh 2lbs 6 oz.

Net weight loss

Just trying to add up the weight loss here, but say I purchase a TKI kit and want to maintiain oil injection;

stock case, oil tank, chain, gears = 11 lbs.
injection oil 0.98 gal x 7.62 lb/gal = 7.4 lbs.
stock total = 18.4 lbs.

TKI kit, w/o oil = 5 lbs.
injection oil 0.5 gal x 7.62 lb/gal = 3.8 lbs.
TKI total = 8.8 lbs.

Total savings 18.4 lbs - 8.8 lbs. = 9.6 lbs.

Am I reading your post right Tom, or does the 5 lbs include the oil?

Also, does the 11 lbs for the stock case, gears, etc. include the aluminum bottom gear that some of the 2014's have or the heavy steel gear?

Sorry not trying to nit pick, just trying to figure out what the total weight savings could be for my application.

Thanks.

You are correct, I did not add in for the oil. Our container is 2 Qts, so you will need to add that to the 5 lb kit weight.

The oil delete kit will add 1 lb 3 oz, I just weighed it. That's tank and brackets and screws for mounting.

That is with steel bottom gear. Did not have a 14 to weigh the bottom aluminum gear.

Thank you for pointing that out I had forgotten about about the oil tank and brackets, not to mention the aluminum bottom gear.
