Default DIY 800/900 BMP pipe mod?

I'd like to put some single pipe into my sled. Bad thing is I'm using M-series hood so any ZR8/9 pipe wont fit without mods. So why not just modify stock pipe.

Does anybody know how BMP modifies stock pipe to gain 6-8hp?
