Tester :closed_2: forest act (wilderness bill) dead for 2011

U.S. Sen. Jon Tester's Forest Jobs and Recreation Act was not included in a House version of the 2012 omnibus bill to fund the federal government that was released Thursday morning, setting off a round of finger-pointing between his office and that of Rep. Denny Rehberg. Read the article here.

FFOR was very opposed to this bill as any increase of new wilderness without the action to remove improperly designated wilderness areas is never in the best interest of Montanans. Montana has nearly 5 million acres of improperly designated roadless areas, or wilderness study areas. Once these are released so the public has access, we will reconsider our position on future wilderness bills.

That is good news, he just doesn't get it he keeps trying to ram that stupid bill down our throats by hiding it in bills he knows will pass because no body wants his bill and that is exactly the kind of crap that we voted against in the last election.
