MH, inquiring minds are wondering if the 2011-12 shock lengths, e.g., floats, will work on the 13 Pro's without mods. Rumor that shock is slightly shorter on the 13's with the new a-arms, but travel stays the same, per the imperfect specs. If any of the great powers that be have access to the mindtrusts at Polarii central, we'd love to hear the answer. Thanks in advance for all the info and dedication. Would love to avoid a new set of lower arms just to get the evols to work on the 13. Such problems to have...

DON'T BUY WHITE. THE ONLY TIME IT WILL ACTUALLY BE WHITE IS WHEN IT'S BEING DELIVERED! TAKE IT FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS(HAD) A WHITE SLED. THEY LOOK SO DIRTY SO FAST. Unless you want a trailer queen, stay out of the trees or love to clean and polish your sled more than ride it. I want one that is bark or moss colored.

Here is what I posted in another thread the other day...

The new 2013 Pro RMK shock is almost an inch shorter than the 11/12' Pro.

2013 PRO RMK is 16.63" extended (Center to Center length)

2011/12 PRO RMK is 17.50" extended

Some of this is because of the new design lower a-arm on the 13 which has a higher mounting point on the a-arm for the lower shock eye... I think that the 13 also dropped the ride height in the front a bit... which may account for some improved handling character of the sled.. but I have no solid info on that.

PRO-RMK/RMK TECHNOLOGY for 2013

Here’s a look at the premium technology behind the Terrain Domination of the600 Pro-RMK 155 and 800 Pro-RMK 155/163.

All RMK models (except the 600 RMK 144) have the: RMK Coil-Over rear
suspension, new Pro Lite Seat and new Powder Trac™ running boards.

The 600 RMK 144 has the RMK Torsion skid, Freestyle seat and Hybrid running boards.

PRO-RIDE™ Chassis
The PRO-RIDE™ chassis is lightweight and strong – it’s 300% more rigid. It’s
a platform a rider can control precisely with less effort and fatigue. When a
rider needs to sidehill to a turnout trough or thread between tight trees, this
chassis is the most flickable on the snow.

Pro-RMK and RMK Assault models feature carbon fiber overstructure for
strength and minimal weight. The belly pan and suspension torque arms
are also lighter yet strong and durable. This balanced platform has ideal
ergonomics for Rider Active Control. The rider is in a comfortable position of
confident control, whether sitting or standing.

NEW Lighter Weight & Enhanced Strength
Using cutting-edge manufacturing technology, we cut sled weight while
maximizing strength and durability. The Pro-RMK front end uses bonded
lower control arms with forged aluminum ends and steel tubing, which
reduces the control arms’ total weight by 2 pounds.

New, narrower tunnel cooling extrusions reduce sled weight, as does the
stylish carbon fiber rear bumper with extruded billet mounts and the
lightweight punched snow flap with hand access.

NEW QuickDrive™ Low Inertia Drive System
The all-new QuickDrive™ Low Inertia Drive System is a complete system that
includes an extruded aluminum drive shaft, lightweight brake, RMK-specific brake caliper and maintenance-free belt drive. The system’s lightweight,
simple and efficient design eliminates the need for oil or a tensioner system.
The complete QuickDrive system, which has a cast aluminum backer plate
and sprockets, provides a weight savings of over 6.5 pounds and a 21%
reduction in rotational inertia.

NEW Powder Trac™ Running Boards
These all-new extruded running boards are the new benchmark in strength,
traction and snow cleanout. The design provides an RMK rider with strong,
high-traction platforms consisting of minimal structure and copious open
space for the least weight and the greatest snow evacuation. These
extruded aluminum boards are 10% thicker for enhanced durability and
strength, and feature bonded cast lugs so they’re easily removed from the
sled for servicing. Virtually the entire top surface has a machined, hightraction finish so a rider’s boots have a sure grip in every riding position.

Coil-Over Rear Suspension
This is the ultimate deep snow suspension, equipped with premium Walker
Evans shocks on Pro-RMK models. The RMK® Coil-Over Rear Suspension
delivers outstanding flotation and deep-snow performance, and offers an
improved on-trail ride.

The Walker Evans Coil-Over Shocks are rebuildable, internal floating piston
(IFP) shocks with mono-tube construction. They also allow a rider to tune the
suspension to suit snow conditions. Adjusting the spring pre-load controls
whether the sled is set up for deep powder running or for crusted snow.

NEW Optimized Ergonomics
Premium features such as the new Pro Lite Seat and Pro Taper Bars optimize
driver ergonomics and provide the best riding experience. The tail of the new
Pro Lite Seat is 5.5" shorter so it’s easier to throw a leg to the other side of
the sled. The front of the seat is over 2.5" wider and has a flatter surface
for greater comfort while seated. The seat is lighter than before, as is the
strong, lightweight new seat support.

The aluminum Pro Taper handlebars have a high-rise design, giving a standing rider excellent leverage and access to the controls. The easily adjustable bar clamp lets a rider customize the bar height. Bar hooks and a race-style master cylinder round out the purpose-built controls.

RMK Engines
These liquid-cooled Cleanfire® engines with semi-direct injection (SDI) deliver outstanding throttle response and instant acceleration. These powerful, efficient engines produce the impressive power-to-weight ratios that deep snow riders demand. Cleanfire engines start easily and reliably and they calibrate automatically as the temperature and elevation change.
These engines deliver impressive fuel economy in real-world riding
situations, which, for Polaris riders, means aggressive, up-tempo riding, not
low-rev lab conditions.

600 Cleanfire Engine
A winner in hillclimbs and a force on local slopes, the proven, liquid-cooled
600 Cleanfire twin with dual injectors delivers best-in-class acceleration,
crisp throttle response and outstanding top speed. Its quick-revving
performance provides riders with a trail advantage, and it stretches a tank
of fuel with its efficient operation. The proven P2 driven clutch enhances
belt life and promotes cooler operating temperatures and higher top speed.

800 Cleanfire Engine
The 800 Cleanfire engine delivers incredible acceleration and best-in-class
quick-revving performance. In every 800 model, the power-to-weight
analysis reflects an abundance of power on tap.
