08 xp high idle hard starting

I have a 08 800r xp It is extremly hard starting when its cold and after you ride it hard it idles at 3500 rpm or so i can choke it for a sec and it will idle down for a few seconds then slowly work its way back up to 3500 any ideas. What to check thanks

Get those carbs cleaned out. Always good to do that once a year if you let them sit in the summer time with gas in them.

Check your intake boots, probably delaminating.....:face-icon-small-fro

x2 on intake boots, and reed cages, sounds like you are sucking air somewhere to me
