as stated, what are the modifications done? been getting good info from KMOD(THANKS) are you using stock mounting locations? shimming the front, and cutting the rear mounts on the A/C skid? give some feedback. Thanks 66chevy327.

I have this exact setup on my sled. Running it with a CE. I like the way it works. My sled was stock otherwise last year when I put it on. I don't know how it will handle boost but that probably won't be this year anyway.

You have to shim the front about a quarter inch on each side. The mount moved up and forward about 1.75". The rear requires a new drop bracket. I used 1/4 aluminum plate to make mine and bent new running board braces out of 1/8 plate. I dropped about thirty pounds between the drop brackets and the skid.

May not be the most functional setup out there but I picked my skid up brand new for 500 bucks. After I add in the powdercoating to make it blue I am still only around 600. Not a bad way to go if you don't want to drop 1500-2000 on a skid.

Here are some pics of the install. I did have to shave the rear cross shaft about a 1/4 on each side. You can see in the pic how I moved the front mount. Most importantly the skid is at the powdercoater right now. Rails and all will be Yamaha blue this week!!!
