Every illegal alien housed at the Donna Complex costs us taxpaying citizens over $700 per day. (this is just one facility)

These illegal aliens are coming in at a rate of over 2000 per day, never to be sent back. How can anyone with a functioning brain believe that this is sustainable?

No one in the current administration has a functioning brain.

Wow think of how much wall you could build for $700 a day? Like 3 or 4 inches..maybe less? Lol
Meanwhile farms can't find workers to tend fields for even $20 an hour with housing and transportation included. What happened to the hard working rural white folk in this country?

You are correct. The checks that the US government is sending out for absolutely no reason is preventing people from seeking out employment.
Thank you. For once we agree!

You honestly think farms can't get rural white farm workers because they are on unemployment which pays them more than $20 an hour? Plus you think they can stay on unemployment when farm jobs are available? I think you are making that up.

Now if you tried that argument with folks like desk workers I would say you have a point. Lots of desk job folks are on unemployment because their jobs don't exist right now.

Seasonal farm workers should be running near normal right? So where are the rural white farm workers? If the immigration is slowed down they should have plenty of work. Why aren't they applying? You'll just blame it on big bad government so I'm not sure why I am even asking.

When I drive by the farms there are few white people doing to work, mostly brown. Only time i see Jethro out there is on the tractor that is run by GPS so he is checking FB while he is driving. Culture change?

You know the real answer is all those white rural working boys don't want to pick asparagus or whatever. They want that oil and gas job so they can buy that new Super Duty and pay off the double wide. Farming doesn't pay well enough for them boys. You snowmobilers know this. None of those toys come from doing manual labor like your immigrant workers. So when the immigrant seasonal workers are gone and your kids want to make 6 figures who is going to fill that gap? Send grandpa back to work? Or pay more per hour? But you can't make good money if you pay it all out! Plus if they are legal workers you have to pay all that tax to the government! Jeez what to do? It was so easy when you paid cash for Dominguez and ignored that he was gonna get caught eventually. Not your problem huh?

Pay attention to what the government in Columbia is doing. Their citizens may be the next wave of asylum seekers to the USA. Both parties are going to have to get a solid border plan ready so those folks can get to their family here quicker.

I'm sure the extremists will connect these poor people with drugs. Meanwhile cocaine is a middle and upper class drug. Right Donald and Junior Trump?

If the push to raise the minimum wage goes through, you will see a lot of people trying to capitalize on undocumented workers to save money. It was a problem before and it will be worse now.

People are already doing that and have been forever. Minimum wage going up isn’t gonna change it. Not One Bit. If ya pay someone $11/hr on the books you still have to cover the burden on it too. If ya can pay someone cash even if it’s the same rate it’s still way cheaper. Until there are penalties in place for employers it won’t stop.

There aren’t a lot of undocumented workers up here. Given the manpower shortage in the construction industry around here there’d be a lot of opportunity for em, except that we would be in a world of **** if we hired em.

Pretty simple solution, I bet the laws are already in place down there, but no one wants to enforce them and drive prices up. Even your “great” ex president hired em constantly over the years, had undocumented labour at mar-a-maga while he was in office... he knew the wall was only a dog whistle and wouldn’t change a thing, any developer with half a brain (even Donny) knows that cheap labour is the key in that business.

There is a large dairy operation not far from where I live. It has been raided a couple of times by border patrol and had several workers taken away. With in a couple of days he was fully staffed again.

Did the owner suffer any consequences for hiring the illegals that were taken away? I doubt it. Was he fully staffed with more illegals ? I’d bet on it.

Think this right wingers are outside protesting for either the government overreach or the owner supporting illegal workers? Nah I'm sure they just let it slide as it just doesn't fit their narrative. Gotta keep those dairy prices low and let businesses do what they want. Otherwise they might have to pay health insurance and the workers might unionize...oh no socialism versus capitalism again!
