PRESS RELEASE

Backcountry Sled Patriots (BSP) is pleased to announce that Keith Curtis, World Champion Hillclimber, has agreed to be an advocate for our cause.

Keith is a Polaris Factory Sponsored Hillclimb racer and Terrain Dominator. He holds (19) world championship titles including 2012 and 2008 “Stock King” Jackson Hole World Championship Hillclimb and 2011 and 2008 “King of Kings” Jackson Hole World Championship Hillclimb. In addition he holds (110) 1st place Pro class finishes. If that wasn’t enough he has also designed his own clothing line that is marketed through Polaris. You can follow him on his FB Keith Curtis711 and his instagram page Keithcurtis711. He will be launching a website, kc711.com on Dec 1.

Keith, who has been a BSP member for about a year, made the decision to support BSP in a public forum because of the work BSP is doing, in conjunction with some other snowmobile groups, on the Clearwater National Forest Collaborative Forest Plan to keep the Great Burn Area open to snowmobiling. This is one of his favorite areas to ride and he lives to ride the backcountry . He is excited that BSP is “the right cause and the right action” to endeavor to keep this and other backcountry riding areas open. BSP mantra is to unite snowmobile clubs, associations and individuals into a unified cause focused solely on preservation of backcountry riding areas. “We start where the groomer stops”. Check our website for more information: www.sledpatriots.com . We are working on some fund raising riding events that Keith will be attending/supporting. More information will be released once things are firmed up. In the meantime look for a Polaris sled going over the top of the mountain adorned with a Backcountry Sled Patriot logo ridden by #711.

Thanks for the hard work and update Stan. We all need to join together and unit as one team defending our rights/freedom to ride. If only those trying to enforce closers would see the breath taking sites and memories that are created from accessing the backcountry by snow machines. Many of them, if not all have never experienced that and have very few true facts backing up their opinions.

Keep your pride and let's ride!!!!!!!

Thanks Erik

He was lights out in 509 V8 and Schooled 5!

I wish they would start mentioning this stuff in the videos. Hopefully people start to realize that the land will be gone soon if nothing is done.

This is the latest from Stan Spencer/Sled Patriots
GOOD NEWS!!

I just got an update from Sandra Mitchell a couple of hours ago. Art Seamans picked up a copy of the freshly released Motor Vehicle Use Maps yesterday and after a night of studying them they found the new MVUM’s do not have a winter use map included, so unless something changes, the Great Burn area Travel Plan closure will not be enforceable without the winter use maps being published. Just as an FYI the MVUM’s that were published consist of 68 81/2 X 11 pages. How many trees will that take to distribute them to the public?. I am still cautiously optimistic that by not publishing the winter use maps the FS is leaning to an accommodation for snowmobiling in the current Collaborative Forest Planning process.
