I've got a 15 m8000. Wondering what your opinions are on upgrading to a 16 front end vs the dropped chaincase with a chain still. I ride mostly technical terrain. Like to stay in the trees away from all the tracks and other people.

I don't like the 15 front end at all. Too wide IMO and spindles drag in the snow. If I was in your shoes I'd do the 16 front end over the dropped case.

16 front end. Best mod you can do hands down if you live to carve. Love it so much on my 16 limited, this will be the first year in a long time I will be riding the same sled 2 years in a row :)

16 front end makes the sled a lot more fun to ride

What's bugging you? Trenching or effort required to sidehill?

I'd say effort to sidehill, and holding a line. Really feel like I'm fighting to keep it on edge the whole time. I'm a light guy also so that doesn't help.

Can't complain about trenching too much. Only issues I have is downhill 180s to head back up again. Always seem to wash out then or trench out before I get enough speed to keep goin.

the front end would certainly be a LOT less work.
have you cut the extra fingers off the 2.6 yet? might help for climbing

Running a conquer 280 on it. 16 skid. It is an HCR. What should I do with my shocks? Already have spacers to shorten for a 38" front end. Are the 38" 16 spindle kits much better? Or is it best to go to 36"?

silly question…when cutting the track fingers …do you cut down to the bottom or just cut the top of the fingers off?……my vote is the 16 front end over drop case.......i found the answer on a search... Cut them down as low as u can!
