Has anyone been around them the mountain can is ungodly loud. How big is the difference between the two? From what I see i can get a mountain for 200 and a trail for 240

Have the Mtn Can on my 850 and its not stupid loud until you hold the flipper on the bar. Then its quite loud, but not obnoxious like some. Good sound. Cant comment on the Trail Can.
I will say I have had Mtn cans on each of the last 4 Summits I have had to include the 850 and not one code, bog. Runs flawlessly

Just put trail can on. Loud enough (needed ear plugs). Plenty of bark, kicks in at about 6000 rpm's.

I thought my friends GGB mountain can was loud. Then I gave him a ski pull on the clutch side while he was at WOT! About as enjoyable as hearing a 454 Casull go off next to your face...

I've got a Mountain can on a 600 I personally don't think it's all that loud, the trailer can isn't much different than stock in my opinion.
