You guys running engine wraps are you doing anything to protect them from the header pipe?

Yes, wrapping the pipe. See the thread I just posted about YZ450f setup.

I'm running a header guard under my engine jacket. No issues.

I wrapped my pipe with header wrap and then used a couple hose clamps around it to make stand offs so the side panel wouldn't hit it. The right side panel covers the whole side including the kick start, but 2 bolts and I could kick it if I had to.
