I remember my first snow machine, that's what we called them in 1974.
I remember it was air cooled.
I remember when I had to figure out how many ounces of oil to put in each time I filled up.
I remember learning to read plugs so I could properly jet the carburetor.

O H, T H E N .....

I remember my first liquid cooled engine. No more worry on warm days.
I remember my first oil injected engine. No more math just to fill up.
I remember my first fuel injected engine. No more 100 pull stars after an upside down blunder.

And now, ....

Help me remember why we want to delete the oil injection?

Look up your info, they still have oil injectors injecting in the crank case. I think there's 4 or 5 lines leaving the oil pump

I was speaking strictly going to premix on both engines. The old Suzuki can get everything lubed other than the water pump shaft via premix. The new motor can't under all conditions if you take the oil pump away.

Maybe the 600 race sleds that are deleted have mapping that only has the injector firing fuel through/under the piston and that's how they are doing it.

For those who don't know the system very well, engine still gets oil doing top of piston injection. Read the paragraphs

Asked my dealer about removing the front boggi wheels on my 18 hardcore evo(mountain cat) and he said dont doo it?
i cant see a problem with that, my old axys had none so why does the cat need it? better sidehilling with the wheels removed?

I remember when my motor seized because my oil injection line cracked.

I remember when my buddies sled seized because his oil pump went bad.

Now why oh why would you want oil injection :face-icon-small-con

Got my first 2 stroke motorcycle in the 70's when I was in grade school. You'd think if a grade school kid can figure out how to mix gas most adults could, or at least download a app. to their phone on how to do it, but maybe not ;)

Less weight and better reliability, can't think of 2 better reasons NOT to have it. It isn't rocket science to add 4 ounces of oil to a gallon of gas. You have a 5 gallon gas can you add 20 ounces of oil to it. If you can't remember that you can take a sharpie and write it on the side, no math needed.

When people are paying over $1k to loose a few pounds, it just seems silly to be adding unnecessary weight.
