My break in was done at close to 300 mi. I have used about a gallon of oil. fuel consumption is exactly the same as my wife M6000 which has always been good on gas.

I took this picture after my sled ran out of gas after a good day of riding 3 feet of new snow in SE Idaho, it made it right to the parking lot before it was empty. I filled it up before I got home and put in 9.03 gallons? I thought they had 9.5 gallon tanks? Anyway I'm not impressed with the fuel milage these 850's get compared to the Axys.

I rode with 2 Polaris turbos the same day and they didn't run out of gas using turbos, these sleds need an 11 gallon tank!

I don't like dragging sleds on trailers that run out of gas 150 yds from the truck!

I just looked at my trip meter and it said 46 miles so I guess that's all you get in deep snow :face-icon-small-dis

I'm glad to see someone get more than 7.5 gals in there tank before running out. I've still not been able to do that yet.

Gas usage and oil consumption

I have ran out of gas twice and both times I can only get 9.13-9.26 gallons and mileage is 52-67. In the 576 miles on the sled I have used 4 gallons of oil so they like oil.:juggle:

I say mileage is 100% still a issue when the sled is "off the clock". I have 3 full days of riding my 850 off break in mode and mileage doesn't change....

Then you should get your sled checked out. Both mine were identical, ****ty mileage for the first 100 miles, then comparable to everything else out there. Now that mine is "off the clock" it is almost comparable to the last 13 800 Etecs I have had.

My 165 is getting about the same mileage as my 12 163. Rode 55 miles mostly deep powder in the trees and took 6.2 gallons to fil up. I only have 194 miles on the sled so far and have only used a little less than a 1/2 gallon of oil.
