Hello

I know Everyone is different and have different thoughts, but...

What riser hight are u guys running on your mountain cats?

I am 5’11 (180cm) and woundering if I should go for the 2” riser or stay with stock? Is the burandt/rasmussen talk that ”go with low riser and you get better handling controll of the sled” a little overkill for me that is average technical tree rider or do they have a point?

Write down your thoughts :face-icon-small-hap

I'm 5'11" and the 2" riser feels about perfect for me. Much more comfortable and in control when on edge vs the stock riser.

5-11 and the stock 4in feels about perfect except on steep sidehills, i could drop them 4-6in then. But i don't always ride walls so, keeping the 4in.

I'm 5' 11" also, and added a Iso-vibe. I originally had the Iso-vibe in the lower position which added 1 1/2" to the stock riser.
I recently flipped it over which changes it to a +2 1/2" rise and I actually like it better for standing up riding.

Everybody is different though, so go with what feels comfortable to you!

I’m 6’2” and rode the first 150 miles with the stock riser and knew right away I needed more. I added an inch and rode 600 more miles before I decided I should have added 2” more instead of one. If anyone needs a black stock riser or a black +1 let me know...

Im 5' 10" and i like my bars a tad on the taller side. I kept the 4" factory riser and added the CFR crow bar with adds a 1" of height.

I tried my buddies out who had a 2" riser with CFR boondockers, that set up felt comfortable but i felt another 1" and it would of been perfect.

6’6” cfr 2.0 and 2” risers. Feels perfect in the tech stuff. Moto background for me, never have liked taller bars. Try different things, roll with what works best for YOU.

6’ using the stock 4” which is mostly good except when riding a really badly whooped trail, then I would like another 2” so I could stand more upright.

Unlike many I liked the adjustable riser on my 2014, didn’t like the slop but being able to set the height for what you were doing was great.

Biggest problem with the adjustable rising is that it is fixed.... when you case the bars it won't move. With a t post setup at least it will roll forward in that situation.

One other thing to take into account is boards. If you run a set of after barker boards your feet position rise. I felt the stock setup was perfect for me, but when I installed boards it made everything feel 1" lower. A set of CAT boondockers made it all nice nice again.

6'-2", tube boards, 6" riser angled forward 1.5" keeps my arms just short of being locked straight when I'm standing. Technical sidehills I could use a 4", especially if I'm all the way forward on the boards, but all around I like the 6". If your elbows are bent much in your neutral riding position your bars are probably too tall. Takes more energy to pull on the bar with a bent arm than if it's straight.

This is on my 2017 chassis, but same rider position as the 2018 Ascender with my narrow boards and cutting the belly pan to get my foot forward.
