800 Proclimb only: I am curious, obviously (and for good reason) the guys that are blowing belts are being vocal about it, in multiple threads, multiple times. Guys who aren't having issues are not rubbing it in for the most part so you don't hear from them. So:
In 300 miles, how many belts have you blown?

Lol, that is almost as scary. Was running across a swamp at speed beside my bud's 05 IQ RMK when it was new and blew a belt, I would have SWORN that the chaincase came apart, it was so loud.

My only concern was beating that lil 800 to the top LOL

None 475 miles

Update: I pulled cords in two 083 the same day at just over 500 miles. It was Cascade concrete. Deep, deep wet snow that just piled up in front of the sled. Got stuck going down hill a few times. The heaviest I have probably ever ridden in. I had one especially large black mark on primary sheave. I was slightly over revving. Possibly from heat/slippage of the belts. Because of snow conditions i wouldn't think I would over rev. Pulled cords about 2" long at same spot on belt. Directly on the opposite side of of the numbers.

I had pulled both clutches the night before and thoroughly cleaned them. Guess that didn't help.

I second that. Send up another flare Dave.

I think this year for the sled give-a-way it should be a proven non-belt burner like Dave's.

I think Cat should take your sled and see what is right about it. That is a lot of miles for any sled in the mountains on one belt.

Not one belt, I just haven't BLOWN any

The question was : how many belts have you BLOWN!!! I haven't BLOWN any!

about 100 break in miles on first belt no issues, then put it in trunk as spare, put on new belt and broke it in and since others where having issues about then decided to see how long it would last, at about 800 miles on that belt with no issues I put on the free 084 and have been running that since, 1200+ miles on sled now with no strings and no belt issues:face-icon-small-coo

so yes I have used 3 belts to go 1200 miles but all 3 belts are still good, relax boys and quit reading between the lines

2 in 600...... first one blew into quarter size pieces at about 240 miles and took out the belt guard. Second one made it about 280 miles and noticed a cord pulling so I changed it. Haven't been vocal in the forums about it.

Has anyone had a belt blower and fixed the problem? There has to be a cure for the problem sleds. Or maybe we have a Polaris 900 on our hands. Even those were made to work by some people.
