29 1/4" wide at front of boards, pretty much the same as a pro rmk.

job well done sir! looks excellent! :)

now be honest with us on your ride review, even if it doesn't work like you planned it sure looks like it will shed snow tons better and is stronger.... win win!

very nice!

awaiting eagerly for the ride report :)

Time, LMAO

I pulled a all nighter and then some to pull this off, But my welder kinda fcked me. bought one that was supposed to tig aluminum, well didn't worry much about it until I cut the sled apart then started putting the welder together and no AC switch. They brought me the wrong welder and on a friday night not much to be done. So I spool gunned it and that was a challenge in its self, not so pretty (lots of grinding) and twice as much work. But at least its done. (still need to add grip to the kick ups)

If I did it again I could stay the same width but gain another 1/2" width on the boards. right now it is 6" wide on each board. I think the pro is 6.25" wide.

Turned out great, no time to start turning narrowing kits out. Did you build the rear tunnel/bumper section? that looks pretty cool also

As I mentioned before this looks really sweet but I just don't see it making much difference, especially if the tub is still stock width. If you narrowed both tub (side panels) and tunnel then sure it could help but I suspect you may only notice significant improvements in poor snow conditions. If you have any significant snow accumulation it should tip and sidehill without issue as long as you have 38 kit and steering fix (which u do). I do agree with you that I hope Cat is watching because your concept and fabricating is spot on.

Can I make four easy payements of $9.99?

outside of front of boards where plastic attaches was 33" wide, now its 29.25", and the plastic is pulled in also.

When you are going down hill and lay it over in the steep it would flop over, hit the sides and roll the track right out of the snow, you would go from a down hill decent to it wiping a 180 and trying to climb back up the hill, in turn you would go from a down hill to trying to recover from a wash out. The wash was caused from width.
I will let you know, and it will be honest or as you could assume if it doesn't work you will see me on a pro trying to stuff a cat in it.

Yes I built the rear tunnel also, I wanted less drag and hopefully less snow build up. Where the bumper came through kick up was also taking up foot space and cause more snow build up so I junked it. I will probable tweak a few things from here but figured I would ride it and see what I want, (like opening up the front and rear of boards a little more.

I'll try and get some video of it in action also. Maybe on Wed.

nice job wyo...looks good and should help with what you are trying to get...when you pulled the plastic in, how far forward on the panel did you have to go? did you end up giving up clutch clearence? nice job ....

Clutch clearance hardly changed, most of it pull in on the bottom and wrapped around the clutch, I did ditch the clutch fan though as it was wearing through the panel. Plastic pull in way easier than expected.

I think that looks great! I have noticed when you pull a really hard sidehill or zero turn the running boards drag and basicaly lift your track out of the snow. Which ends up in a complete stop and lay over. I would bet narrowing and shortening the boards will improve this a lot. HOPEFULLY Cat is paying attention to what everyone is doing to make PCs better mountain sleds.
