If your near Edmonton. Tom at Mots machining in St Albert knows these inside out. Your probably better off bringing your motor to him and having him set it up. Its not cheap but why would you want to rely on a cheap motor in the backcountry, right. Once done tho im quite sure youll be happy.
Give him a try.

And I saw a kit on ebay, union bay i think.

I am from Athabasca Alberta which is only an hour and a half from St. Albert
Can you suggest a good motor to work on?
I have been in the sport since I was 5 and I have never gotten into modifying them or anything of the sort. I got a good deal on this sled so I bought it. cheap!! lol

How much you asking for the motor?
And how much for the union bay bigbones?
I am in the process of boring and replacing piston's in my sled right now.
I am doing it myself as I have bored out engines before and have had years of experience working on mechanical stuff.
So I figure I had better start shoping for a motor so when mine blow's up
I will have one all lined up! lol

We have a ton of snow now and they are calling for another 10-20cm's over
the next week!!

holy crap!!! 200 horse!
My sled would definately not handle that kind of power.
I wish it could as that sound's like a sweet motor.
I also have to watch how much I spend as the wife didn't
even want me to buy this sled to begin with. The only
reason why I got it was because it was cheap and broken.
lol
