Need help with A-arm questions

I am trying to take off my a-arms to get them powder coated. I have a couple of questions. 1. Are the fittings in the A-arms pressed into the aluminum spindle? 2. Is the lower A-arm pressed on to the metal fitting. Or do I just need to hit it harder? I have attached a couple of pictures to show what I am try to take apart.

Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Snowjockeymt

Once the clip is off the ball joint, you just have to hit it hard enough and it will come out. I didn't use a press to take them out, or put them back in.

when i did mine i just hit the side of the spindal and the balljoint came out of there then i used a airhammer to take it out of the a arm and had to have them pressed back in, i wouldnt use a hammer to put them back in it can reck them, thats if your putting new ones in, if not id press them out too

The ball joint is tapered and when you tighten it they kind of press themselves in.You do not need a press to get them out but it does make it much easier. I just hit mine repeatedly until they came loose. Aluminum and steel like to stick together.
