Just bought 01 Summit 800 High Mark "Extreme Traction". Crate engine, came with a 151 track and now has a 156" track, rails, and tunnel extension and a 16" Camoplast track. I am told that it also has an Arctic Cat "jack shaft"...It is easy to see that a lot $$ was spent on this sled...My questions are, What does the the "Extreme Traction" mean and why would a Arctic Cat "jack shaft" be used? Thanks in advance!

Extreme traction was the 159" track over the 151" on the Highmark

but I was under the impression that it was only offered on the 2003 snow check only model ?

In 01 the 151" was called High Mark Extrem Traction at least on 800 X model anyways, not sure on the non X. 03 was the first year for the 159" option.

Most likely was for a cat secondary clutch which is cheap for parts and came as a roller clutch stock.
