Not sure what your trying to check there, but your not testing any kind of "crank play".
The crank, rods, wrist pins are all on roller bearings....there is no play. If there ever is play, its only going to be there for a few minuets before the motor blows into pieces.
The noise, or movement is coming from your clutch.

Sorry im from finland, my english is not so very good. I dont know the term, but i mean that movement before it feels stiff, lack? how do you call it..
