Edge front shocks on a Polaris Xtra 10 front?

I have a 1997 Polaris XLT SKS with Xtra10 suspension. The front suspension has the standard black OEM shocks, and I am wondering if some Fox rebuildable shocks from the front of an EDGE series sled would fit? Or do I have to stick with the Fox series of shocks that came with the older Xtra10 sleds?

Just need to confirm so I know what my options are while shopping for used parts.

I believe the Edge shocks are too long.

Thanks for the input. If they are an inch longer I wonder if that is really a big deal? (You would just compress them a little to get the second bolt in them)

Has anyone actually tried this?

The shock spring diameter may hit your spindle control rods. They did when I tried them on my wedge. Then again, my wedge is a basket of parts from different years put together.
