Noooo! Stop! Look before you drill the rivet holes. Be careful you don't want drill into those coolers under your running boards!
I have tried those and they help but they gett clogged with ice and snow in a lot of conditions. Best bet is to get a set of SNO-FREE boards from castlesledder.
PM me MtnMaxMod if you want a cheap alternative.

i know lol, i was gonna take off the coolers, see if i could rivet them on from the bottom since a rivet head is fairly shallow.. and then rivet the coolers back on.

Good, What a relief. I could see a disaster in the making.
If your going to pull your coolers to do that make sure to reinstall with multi-grip rivets. good luck.

I added some of those to my srx. They do fill with snow, but grip really well. I used one rivet on the outside (or the middle depending on the location) and a two part epoxy. Didn't have to mess with/worry about drilling the cooler that way. Ran them all last year that way with out an issue.
