The 2015 Ski-Doo sleds.
What’s New for Ski-Doo 2015
New RAS 2 front suspension:
Changes to the front end on most REV-XS sleds and the Summit X with T3 packages improve performance, reduce weight and add style. Geometry
changes add straight-line confidence in handling big bumps.
Summit X with T3 package:
New feature package dramatically increases traction and flotation
of the already nimble Summit mountain sled, thanks to standard 3 in. (7.62 cm) track lugs and a choice of 163 in. (414 cm) or monster 174 in. (442 cm) track length. There’s also a host of new technologies and weight-saving efforts, including longer chain case, redesigned muffler, revised cooling system, Pilot DS 3 skis and tMotion rear suspension improvements.
Renegade X-RS package:
Extreme crossover riders now have their ideal sled, with this Racing Special version. It shares many features with the MX Z X-RS race sled to easily handle bumps and jumps, including KYB PRO 40 shocks and key reinforcements.
Refinement of Renegade models:
Based on consumer feedback, all trail-oriented Renegade sleds’ tracks are 15 in. (38 cm)wide, sharpening trail handling and reducing weight. Backcountry packages are more focused, with changes to improve off-trail performance, including 16 in. (42 cm)-wide track with FlexEdge technology and two-wheel rear axle, plus Summit-style large running board openings.
Rotax 900 ACE engine expansion:
Expedition SE, Expedition LE, Skandic WT and Skandic SWT buyers can now opt for this award winning, reliable, hard working and fuel-sipping lightweight four-stroke engine package. They also enjoy all the benefits of Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC) technology.
Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC) technology expansion:
Sleds with the Rotax 600 ACE engine are now equipped with the same iTC technology and benefits as the 900 ACE: instant throttle response, light throttle pull, Sport/Standard/ECO driving modes and Learning Key functionality.
ACE Finger throttle:
The throttle block on all sleds with ACE family engines can be rotated for operation as a traditional thumb throttle or watercraft-style finger throttle. Owners will appreciate the ability to vary their hand position on long rides.
RF DESS Key:
Most 2015 Ski-Doo sleds feature a new Digitally Encoded Security System (DESS) key/tether with Radio Frequency (RF) technology. Its ball and socket design ensures solid, consistent contact.
Expansion of technologies and features:
Sport models featuring the 600 ACE are built on the REV-XS platform while other in-season models include the RAS 2 front suspension and modern handlebar controls.
Cutting edge colorations and decals:
To make the 2015 sleds appear as innovative and cutting-edge as the technology inside, the 2015 Ski-Doo line-up features styling and colors that make a statement. The colors are truly bold and boundary pushing, as are new water-dipped graphics, a first in the snowmobile industry.
