Hi Folk,
Brand new to the forum...I have a 2010 KTM 530 xcw six days and am thinking about getting into snow biking. I found a 2016 TS LT for $6000 cad including the fitment kit for my bike. It's in good shape, obviously well cared for. Is this a reasonable price for a used kit? Thanks.
Zad.

Zad, not sure where you are at, but here in WA you can get a new 2017 without fit kit for that. Now if it came with the TSS then it may be worth it. So for a used kit may be a little steep. Also be careful on the fit kit you need to make sure it is for the same bike, different years and models have different parts and a few moth ago it was difficult to get separate part for the fit kits.

$6000cad is $4540usd FYI.
IMO its a good deal. Pretty sure the 17 LT's are selling for $7800 before 12% tax (8736 tax in) in BC.
I'm pretty sure I know whos kit that is and It saw minimal use and is in mint condition.
Ive got a 16 LT and wouldn't sell it for 6K cad at the moment. Hope that helps.
If your worried about price I saw Camso's in Calgary for $4700 with a fit kit. I hear they are comparable in deep snow to a TS.

Well missed that Canadian dollar part, yeah if the kit is in good shape then price is good. The guy I bought my used kit from said "he upgrades every year but skipped the 17 just because there was not a whole lot of difference to justify swapping", so there is that.

Thanks guys, appreciate it. Also looking at a 2013 st with all stock parts for $3800, mint condition. How much would I spend to upgrade the bearings and whatever else needs upgrading on the 2013? And for riding in the Canadian Rockies weighing 196 lbs without gear on the ktm 530 would I be better on a 137 or would the 120 be enough?

Well, I weigh what you do. And a 120" will move you around in the Rockies, but you will have to poach lines from a 137" to keep up in the deep stuff. IMO go 137" if most of your riding is in the Rockies.
