Anyone else have an issue with theirs getting a little corrosion from the batteries? Made the mistake of leaving mine in all summer, and I think that is what caused it. They were only 40% last weekend so I changed out to new ones and I couldn't get the thing to turn back on. Tried to get most of the nasty stuff out of the crevasses even though all the connections were clean to see if that would help. It works fine now. I always check the battery level before we go out, just never thought about what was happening inside. I guess I should probably just take the batteries out after the season?? It's a BCS Tracker

Yes

Yep, had that problem a couple of seasons ago. Take the batteries out when you store it and you are gtg.

I had the exact same thing happen...I had never seen that happen before. I pull the batteries out after each trip now.

Name brand batteries have a warranty against leakage.
if the electronics are damaged,
DO NOT REMOVE THE BATTERIES.
Call the customer service line on the back of a package of Duracell, Energizer etc. They will have you mail the unit to them, or just a good photo, something to prove the battery is the problem.

I've heard of them covering very expensive items.
