600 cylinder valve stops.

Thanks dan. Do you need the valves to check clearance when done?

Your welcome.

No I do not need the valve, The measurements are based off a brand new cylinder...... I have a new valve here I slide in each cylinder for a visual piece of mind.

If you have snow and you want to ride it the rest of the year you can take your valves to a belt sander and move the edges back a good .075 to .100 thousands and run it the rest of the year and fix it in the summer
when things are calmer.

NO !!! It will not effect performance enough to measure it.

Hi Dan, will you please shed a little light on the 700 CFI, 07' - 10'. Seems that the 700 engine has a better reputation than the 800. In your opinion do the 700s have the same rod ratio problem that the 800s have? What are the differences between the two engines? I read the entire thread over again today and appreciate the history of the small block engine.

THANKS!
