Default Motor Help

Will a motor out of a 2003 (800 HO) retrofit into a 2008 sled?

Default Fit

2008 REV no problem. 2008 XP will need the front and rear mag side motor mount case locations fabricated, as well the rear PTO location.

Just to be clear on your post............ the '03 800 Engine will work in '08 REV chasis, but not in the '08 XP chasis without mods...... correct?

Correct. That motor will not go into an XP.

Thanks for the info all. was looking at a 2008 sled with a bad motor. I have a motor out of a 2003 800ho with 500 miles on rebuild setting around waiting for a sled.

Default REV Motor

If you could swap the REV crank case half with the XP equivalent (that had the motor mounts for XP) it would work. Agreed it is testy, however if you have a known good engine it may be worth it. Could also look at selling yours and buying a used XP motor in good shape. Depends on how much labor you do vs pay a professional.
