Removing jackshaft

Been looking thru the old threads, but couldn't find anything? I would assume to remove the jackshaft one would need to remove carbs/airbox etc... Question is does the aluminum shaft cover need to be removed to get it out? Does the bellypan need to be removed also? I have vent holes drilled in bellypan in that area almost dead inline. Could I slide it straight out, or do you lift over?

Thanks Mike

Don't need to remove carbs or nothing. Remove chain cover, take off lower gear, 3 nuts behind gear that hold bearing cover in place same thing on clutch side. I remove secondary to give more room, 3 nuts on that side too. Shaft will come out. Of course, must loosen the track.
