King cat does have the longer chain case with 8tooth drivers also has narrow boards.

Curious as to y Yamaha claimed 180hp and cat claims over 200hp?

Yamaha said they gaurentee it will make atleast 180 hp up to 10,00 feet. The 204hp was the preproductions sleds. Production sleds are around 181 hp.

D&D saw 205.9 on their Dyno. Dynotech Research was 209. I think it is safe to say they are 200 plus.

This is on the Arctic Cat version of the sled.

With the 36" front and dropped skid, will this heavy beast sidehill like the 2014/15 M8000?

A Viper weights 615lbs stock, and full of fuel. I would expect the King Cat is a little more with the additional cooling, turbo, and intercooler.

As for the horsepower claims, ask the 800etec guys how 3rd party dyno claims go...

I am wondering because I heard the King Cat was 45 lbs heavier, just hoping it is not.

I was thinking exactly the same, and all this time they were saying how strong it felt. Wonder if it feels less powerful now;)

Just a question, where did you see this. I have been trying to find a curb weight with no luck.
I don't remember.
I think it was a wet weight of around 615.
Maybe it was a Viper MTX?

The 800 wet is close to 550.
That is 65lbs.

At the sled show this weekend there was a King Cat on display. According to the decal on the back tunnel weight was listed at 280kg. There was also a 2017 MC 162" non-electric start there and the same decal listed it at 254kg. 26kg is about 57lbs and that is a non-electric start 2 stroke. Given that sticker represents legal information on the sled one would think there is some truth to that.
