Internal Oil Seals

I have a 900 motor on the bench and I was looking at the internal oil seals.

The older motors had the Water pump and Oil pump driven off a belt. No internal worm Gear to oil.

The Newer Polaris engines have the worm gear but seem to get oil from the pump.

Not some phony Gravity Drain from the main tank.

Has anyone plummed an oil fitting to the worm gear from the Pump and eliminated the internal oil seals ? ( get rid of the gravity drain and plug it)

Pressure in the oil Tank

The other issue I see with having the oil tank hooked up to basically the crank case is if the seals leak just a bit you put pressure in the tank.

Or your a sucking the oil out of the tank into the crankcase, or both.

Now you are forcing oil thru the pump under pressure. Way over oiling with no control.

This is a really bad design. Ski Doo did this also.

Honestly the person that would have an answer for this would be Indy Dan but I don't think he is very active on here anymore. I can drop him a line if ya want GT?
