Trying to help a buddy out. When the ignition switch is in the on position. There should be power on two of the wires at the switch. One in and one out . Is that right any help would be great. Thanx

if it wont turn over when you are turning the key or no power to the starter its the starter relay assy its right above the oil tank.they fail often,sometimes you can just tap them or give it a shake to get it to work till you can replace.

On a more serious note if you are running a tether those can go bad as well. But yes if the kill is up and you turn the key the first click you should get display.
I just replaced my start relay bc it wasnt working, but i still got display. But it still could be that.

checked tether its good.
Were thinking its the ignition switch.

Unplug the key switch and use an ohm meter to see if there is an open circuit in the on position

Have power at the ignition leads? Jump the key switch, if no go Test voltage throughout the circuit from the battery up. If that's good check relays
