Idler wheel question

I just got done installing my holz alphaX and would like to install some idler wheels. I was wondering if i could make the bd extreme wheels that mount on the front shock shaft work on my polaris. Shaft size looks the same,just mite have to shorten the overall lenght? thanks in advance
